For this entry I chose Wicked Souls written by Sabrina Samples.
This book is a very easy read. The chapters are short and your eyes glide easily over the sentences. It follows Spencer Wright, a woman who is leading a lie for a life. A powerful force of angels wipes her memories of who she is, because she fell in love with an angel. Learning the truth that the man she married, is just an agent for the angels and that the real love of her life, a fallen angel, Spencer has to make sense of everything. The suspense comes in the form of a powerful voice in her head, which she later learn that it’s a demon, called Vetil. He can make Spencer do things she doesn’t want to do and destroying angels were one of those things. Spence decided with the Angel Council that it would be better off if she stay with them and fight against the dominions of Hell. But Spencer just doesn’t have to fight against evil in the form of demons, but she needs to fight against the evil in herself.
Wicked Souls is a gripping story and I really like the on take Sabrina had on angels and demons. Her action scenes are really good and I really like it for what it is.
What I didn’t like about the book: writing mechanics. She needs a good pair of eyes too catch off phrases, sentences and missing words. I am picking this up a lot. Some part of me wanted more of Wicked Souls. I’m a huge fan of angel stories but feel that there was something missing.
I still recommend this to everyone that loves a good paranormal read and feel over all that the story was good.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to read Wicked Souls, can’t wait to see what you do in Hidden Secrets, book two. Watch out for Meet Sabrina Samples and where you can purchase her book.
