The Alien Encounter Series started out as a short story and grew from there. It will be a four volume set. It starts with the first novel Going Home and next book in the series, Gone Home, is slated for publication in late spring 2013.
Kim loves Jane Austen novels so she couldn’t resist trying her hand at a paranormal romance—the Deeps Trilogy. The first book in the trilogy, Stirrings, will be available for purchase on Amazon in the summer of 2013 with the second book to follow before fall 2013.
Not long after Kim was diagnosed with a disability she had to let her 17 year old cat go. She misses Joe very much and will be writing about her in an upcoming series.
Kim lives in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia with her husband and a library filled with books. She loves to take pictures for inspiration and paints in her spare time to relax.
Again, another Sci-fi. You guys already know that I’m not a huge sci-fi fan, but the author asked me nicely to give her a review, and I can’t say no to nice people. HEHE.
What I thought about Going Home. I loved it for what it was. Not being a sci fi fan, did had a disadvantage for me while reading this story, so I’m going to first start with what I didn’t like. Some of the descriptions lacks a bit of meat. but I was able to relate and moved on. Being an author and extremely hard on my self. Here were then and there a couple of mistakes, but they weren’t major. It easy to overlook them.
Now what I liked, This is a story everyone can easily relates too, although I didn’t love the alien part, I don’t know why I can’t get myself to like Sci – fi, this was a really good story, with a really awesome message off moral standards, as I like to call it.
Kim’s characters are really good developed and easy to connect to. Lyrissa didn’t had an awesome childhood, growing up with an abusive father and dealing now with the past does trigger the emotional side of a person. She, however is keen set of finding Peggy, who is extremely mysterious, and working against the clock (because the baddies want Peggy too) was fun to read. I love how everything played out and I must admit there were times that I couldn’t wait to turn the page to find out more.
This was an awesome story and if you are a sci-fi lover, grab it, and read it.
I think that coming from someone that is not into this sorts of novel should really say something.
Good luck with Going Home, Kim.
Kind Wishes,
Adrienne Woods
